 Julia is a bilingual facilitator who has been working in the field of human resource development and organizational un-learning since 1974. She has directed her own consulting practice since 1981. Her clients include private, public and not-for-profit sector organizations across Canada. Julia has worked with leaders and their teams to identify, recognize and develop individual strengths which contribute to team performance and success. Her work with intact teams committed to improved performance and satisfaction has assisted them in changing the culture of the team, overcoming difficulties and creating the environment to support a high performance team. She has designed and delivered interventions focusing on leadership, managerial and supervisory development, change and transition, mediation skills, conflict resolution, assertiveness skills for managers, coaching, group dynamics, facilitation, presentation skills, performance management and team effectiveness. She has designed and facilitated planning, goal setting and team building sessions. In addition to one-on-one coaching, she has worked with hundreds of managers in sessions designed to identify their strengths, to develop flexibility in their approaches and to build their coaching skills. It is her belief that "better is possible" and that if one can see things differently, one can do things differently. Her interest is in assisting individuals to expand their communication and problem solving skills to increase their personal and organizational effectiveness. Her style is engaging and invites participation. She has been a member of the faculty of The Banff Centre for Management since 1979.
