 is the monthly newsletter of

Strategenis,

 a change facilitation consultancy.

Genesis  provides a forum for the exploration of complexity in human systems, leadership, and group dynamics.  It provides readers with an additional way of making sense of the challenges faced by leaders, teams, and communities who are building the capacity to succeed in dynamic environments.

The name   Genesis  was chosen to the reflect the sense of beginning and emergence from initial conditions.

The new sciences recognize that within complex adaptive systems there is great sensitivity to initial conditions. Small initiatives can have unpredictable impact. Just as Lorenz's mathematical simulations demonstrated how the flap of a butterfly wing in Brazil could lead to a tornado in Texas, its our goal that Genesis will generate some great conversations
